Lanugo

I look my girl in her dog face Her horrible
brow and long snout What made my
girl like this I brush her human hair
long behind her sharp human shoulders
Careful not to touch her bones My girl
is mean Gnaws at her stitches Digs a
hole in the yard Wants days to be over
when she’s done with them Takes any
dark she can get So unlike me now
Still at my heels like I’ll take her
home The door to my room the
door to hers I miss my horrible
greyhound girl I hold her
furry face of a dog
hardly a body
of hardly my
girl at
all
